FAQ

Answers to common questions about DaterGraph, privacy, data controls, and how the product works.

What is DaterGraph?

DaterGraph helps you log, visualize, and understand your dating life over time. It turns personal experiences into private insights, revealing patterns that are hard to notice in the moment.

What kind of data can I track?

You choose what to track. Dates, conversations, emotions, outcomes, pauses, and anything else meaningful to you. DaterGraph is flexible by design, not a rigid checklist.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your data belongs to you. You control visibility, sharing, and participation in any aggregated views. Nothing is exposed by default.

What are community benchmarks?

Community benchmarks show anonymized, aggregated trends across users, like averages or distributions. They are meant for context, not comparison.

You can opt in or out at any time.

Why can’t I see some community charts even though I’m a subscriber?

Some community charts are configured with thresholds that their data volume must reach before they can be viewed. This helps with data anonymization and also makes the insights more meaningful.

Can anyone see my individual data?

No. Individual entries are never visible to other users. Only high-level aggregates are used when you opt in.

Do I have to log everything perfectly?

Not at all. Incomplete data is expected. DaterGraph works with gaps, pauses, and changes because real life is not consistent.

What insights does DaterGraph provide?

You will see trends over time, recurring patterns, and shifts in behavior or outcomes. The goal is not judgment. It is clarity.

Is this a dating app?

No. DaterGraph does not match you with people. It helps you understand your own dating experience.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. You can export your data or delete it entirely at any time, directly from the app.

Is DaterGraph free?

There is a free tier to get started. Advanced insights, deeper analytics, and premium features are available with an optional subscription.

How is my data anonymized in community charts?

Community charts are built only from users who explicitly opt in, and only as aggregates: averages, counts, and distributions. Individual entries are never displayed anywhere, and each chart must reach a minimum data-volume threshold before it becomes visible to anyone.

What happens if I opt out of community benchmarks?

Opting out takes effect immediately. Community charts are recalculated from current data, so your entries are excluded from every future calculation. Your individual data was never visible to others either way.

How often are community charts updated?

Community charts are computed from live data when you view them, not from stale snapshots. They always reflect the current opted-in community.

Is community data real or estimated?

Real logged data only. Community charts never include synthetic, extrapolated, or purchased data.

Does DaterGraph sell or share my data?

We never sell your data, and your journal entries are never shared with anyone. We use a small set of service providers to operate the app, such as crash reporting, purchase processing, and install attribution. These handle operational data like device identifiers and diagnostics, never your journal content.

Does DaterGraph track my location?

The app does not directly collect your location. Venue information comes only from what you choose to log. Standard analytics services may receive approximate, device-level location (such as a general region derived from your IP address) as part of routine operation, but never your logged entries or your precise location.

How does AI use my data?

Features like Dating Wrapped use AI to write short summaries based on your own server-computed statistics. AI use is covered by a separate consent that you control, and truthfulness guardrails keep generated copy tied to your real numbers.
